Conservation Area
Deer Ridge Conservation Area is a 46-acre property generously donated to the Kettle Creek Conservation Authority by Ted and Duggie Gill in 2022. The property is a part of the Middlemarch Forest Complex, featuring beautiful vistas of Dodd Creek and upland forest. Visitors to Deer Ridge will discover a wide variety of plants and animals including several species that are threatened by the loss of forest habitat including the Green Dragon, Wood Thrush and the Scarlet Tanager.
A permit isn’t required, and parking is free.
Hiking Trail
Nestled within the Middlemarch Forest Complex, this 1.7 km loop trail offers captivating views of Dodd Creek and lush upland forests.
