Climate Change Action Plan
Kettle Creek Conservation Authority’s Climate Change Action Plan outlines our commitment to integrating climate action into all aspects of our work. Developed in response to the City of London’s request for local Agencies, Boards and Commissions to prepare Climate Action Plans, the plan establishes goals across our core service areas, including sustainable corporate practices, flood forecasting and monitoring, tree planting and stewardship, environmental regulations and monitoring, conservation area management, and communications and partnerships.
The plan identifies practical, achievable actions that support climate resilience and environmental sustainability, such as incorporating climate considerations into organizational policies and projects, prioritizing energy-efficient solutions, and expanding the use of locally sourced native trees and shrubs. As a living document, the Climate Action Plan will continue to evolve as new information, technologies, and opportunities emerge, with a comprehensive review conducted at least every five years and regular progress updates provided through KCCA’s annual budgeting and strategic planning processes.
