Lakeshore Camping Area Improvement Plan

About the Project

Get ready for a new kind of camping experience at Lake Whittaker Conservation Area. Thanks to a generous $200,000 donation from the Estate of Sam Bennett, a neighbor of Lake Whittaker, the Lakeshore Camping Area will be transformed to offer cabin rentals for the 2025 camping season.

Our Lakeshore Improvement Plan includes:

  1. Drainage Solutions: Tackling erosion and drainage issues in the Lakeshore Camping Area;
  2. Enhanced Campsites: A new layout will offer spacious campsites;
  3. Modern Amenities: Upgraded electrical services, improved vehicle access, and the addition of 4 rental cabins.

Central to our vision are the introduction of four new cabins, offering views of Lake Whittaker. Selected from a local Ontario manufacturer, these cabins blend rustic charm with modern comfort, providing the perfect setting for relaxation and adventure. KCCA hopes to have the cabins ready for rental for the 2025 camping season.
