Children under 12 will not be allowed to enter without adult supervision. According to provincial pool regulations, KCCA is restricted to the number of bathers that each pool can have at any time when unguarded. Bather load is determined by the size of the pool and is dictated by regulation.
While, no lifeguard will be present, a pool attendant will be on duty to ensure that rules are being followed.
According to provincial rules, the maximum occupancy of the Lake Whittaker pool is 10 bathers on the deck or in the pool at any time. Bathers will be allowed access on a first come, first served basis until the maximum capacity is met. Once maximum capacity is met the pool attendant will clear the pool every 20 minutes to allow new bathers to enter. Reservations are not required at this time.
Campers are asked to abide by the posted pool rules, listen to the pool attendant and be kind and courteous to fellow bathers. If we all work together we can ensure that the pool remains open for the season.
Despite our best efforts, campers should expect pool hours to vary daily and be prepared for periodic closures. For up-to-date pool hours please call the gatehouse directly. (519) 269-3592.
Lake Whittaker’s beach is also available to campers. A new dock has been installed and the beach sand replenished. Although unguarded, it is a relaxing alternative to the pool.
